Charity That Never Fails

1 Corinthians 13:8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 13 in context

Scripture Focus

8Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1 Corinthians 13:8

Biblical Context

Charity endures; prophecies, tongues, and knowledge pass away.

Neville's Inner Vision

Charity, or true love, is not a mere sentiment but the abiding I AM that you are. The prophecies you chase, the tongues you use, the knowledge you think you possess, are only temporary expressions of your present state. They shall fade when the mind shifts its attention. The verse does not condemn signs; it reorients you to the permanent creature: the love that never faileth, the silent witness of awareness. In this light, every outward demonstration is a dreamlike appearance within consciousness, not the source of reality. When you rest in the awareness that you are this love, you remain unchanged by changing phenomena. Therefore, instead of seeking lasting certainty in forecasts or learned words, dwell in the present I AM and let charity govern your inner reactions. The lasting kingdom is inside; the outward 'gift' is but an echo.

Practice This Now

Assume the feeling: 'I am charity, the enduring I AM.' Silently revise any belief that gifts prove worth; let that feeling saturate your mind for a minute.
