1 Corinthians 13:5

Biblical Context

Paul's verse urges charity to behave with grace, not to chase personal gain, to be slow to anger, and to release negative judgments. It points to inner discipline as the outward expression of love.

Neville's Inner Vision

See in Doth not behave itself unseemly the fruit of an awakened I AM. When you remember that you are this awareness, outward conduct shifts from performance to alignment. Seeketh not her own is the quiet revision of the little self; you are not choosing positions or gains but allowing the true self, the image within, to express itself in gentleness and service. Not easily provoked becomes your inner weather, a consciousness that cools before words leave the lips, because you know the self you are is not harmed by another's appearance. Thinketh no evil invites you to suspend judgment, to observe without crafting villainy or grievance; you release the habit of projecting fault and instead let perception be healed by love. The scene you inhabit then reflects your inner unity with God, for the world is the stage on which your consciousness acts. Practically, assume the feeling of this unselfed state, and revise any impulse that seeks self-advantage; when you feel provoked, return to the awareness of I AM and choose mercy.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of not seeking your own advantage, not easily provoked, and thinking no evil. Let that state take possession of your awareness and watch your daily interactions soften.
