Inner Unity of Gifts

1 Corinthians 12:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 12 in context

Scripture Focus

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:4-5

Biblical Context

There are diversities of gifts and administrations, yet they come from one Spirit and the same Lord. These variations reflect different states of consciousness expressed through one Source.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this brief verse, the diversities of gifts and the differences of administrations are not external phenomena to be judged as separate powers, but inner movements of your own consciousness. The 'same Spirit' is the steady I AM, the one awareness that never changes while the scenes of life change around it. When you feel a gift blooming—whether wisdom, prophecy, healing, or insight—know that it is a particular vibration of the same Presence, not a separate deity granted to you by chance. The 'difference of administrations' speaks to the various ways you may exercise that Presence: through thought, imagination, action, or stillness—yet all are guided by the same Lord, the same ruling Mind within. Therefore, you are free to regard each gift as a signpost of your inner sovereignty. As you revise your feeling about who you are, the outer conditions shift to reflect the newly unified state. The plurality of expression reveals the unity of your self, if you remain faithful to the I AM behind them.

Practice This Now

Practice: close your eyes and declare, 'I AM the Lord of my inner kingdom; all gifts arise from the same Spirit within me.' Then imagine a single light unfolding into many forms, each nourishing a different area of your life.
