You Are The Body Of Christ
1 Corinthians 12:27 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 12 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Believers are the body of Christ, with every member in particular. Unity arises from the interdependence of diverse parts.
Neville's Inner Vision
The verse speaks not of a distant institution, but of your inner economy—the body of Christ that resides within your own consciousness. You are a living organism of awareness, and every part is called to function in harmony. When you assume that you are the whole body in action, you dissolve the illusion of separation; the I AM, your essential self, is the head and the source that animates every member. Therefore, unity is not a future achievement but a present state you can inhabit by revision of your sense of self. Treat thoughts and feelings as nervous impulses of one living organism, and welcome the hands, feet, and eyes you imagine in service to the entire body. Imagination creates reality: imagine yourself seated in the one consciousness where every member supports the whole. Your task is to align with that oneness and feel the truth of interdependence, for in awareness you are complete, and in completion you act as Christ in the world.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes, repeat 'I am the body of Christ,' and feel yourself already complete in the whole, sensing interdependence with others as one living organism.
