Inner Unity of the Body

1 Corinthians 12:25-26 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 12 in context

Scripture Focus

25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
1 Corinthians 12:25-26

Biblical Context

Paul calls for unity in the body, so no division exists and all members care for one another. When one suffers or is honored, all share in it.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the Corinthians’ body as your own continuous self, a single I AM wearing many habits, roles, and expressions. The divisions they fear are merely states of consciousness, not facts of fact. When you adopt the state that every member is cared for by the same I AM, you are no longer two; you are one in expression. If one part suffers, imagine the entire body in a state of relief; your own consciousness expands to cover that pain. If another is honored, rejoice as your own celebration, because your inner atmosphere is crowned with harmony. The method is simple: dwell in the assumption that unity already exists; feel the feeling of the wish fulfilled until it feels real. As you persist, the outer circumstances will reflect this inner oneness—no separation, no schism—only the radiant wholeness of your I AM. This is not doctrine but practice; shift your state and the body, in your inner theater, aligns as one.

Practice This Now

Impose the state now: sit in quiet and assume 'I am the I AM, one with every part of the body; I care for all as my own.' Feel that unity fill you until separation dissolves.
