From Idols to Inner Awareness

1 Corinthians 12:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 12 in context

Scripture Focus

2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1 Corinthians 12:2

Biblical Context

You once followed empty external idols. Your mind was carried along by beliefs rather than inner truth.

Neville's Inner Vision

Not a history lesson but a state of consciousness. The Gentiles symbolize minds unfamiliar with the I AM, and the dumb idols are beliefs that appear to command attention yet speak no life. When you are carried by them you consent to a false reality. Yet you are not bound to that dream; the I AM within you is the true sovereignty, and idols hold power only as you give them attention. By shifting your inner assumption you return to a living worship aligned with the I AM. Revise the memory of being led by imagining you are guided by inner clarity, dissolving the spell of the idols. Imagination becomes the altar where you enthrone the fact that you are always awake, the aware observer. The moment you choose the I AM state, you cease to be carried away by empty forms and enter a living worship that informs every outward circumstance.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm: I AM, the inner watcher; I am free from dumb idols, led now by the inner truth I choose. Revise the sense of having been carried away, and feel the presence of the I AM guiding you in every moment.
