Inner Rock of Christ
1 Corinthians 10:2-4 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul recounts Israel's baptism unto Moses, and their shared spiritual meat and drink, as signs of an inner provision. The text points to the Rock that followed them—the Christ within—sustaining their life.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the acts are states of consciousness, not external events. 'Baptized unto Moses' marks your consent to a particular mental or moral regime; the cloud and sea are the shifting moods of mind you pass through as you move from one belief to another. The 'spiritual meat' and 'spiritual drink' are your imaginative nourishment—what you mentally feed on until your soul takes root in this moment. The Rock that followed them stands for the Christ presence inside you, the steady, living Reality that is always with you. When you drink of that Rock, you drink the awareness of divine presence that never dries up. Remember, you are not seeking it somewhere outside; you are already the living Rock in expression, and all moments are occasions to revise your state to the truth of your unity with God. Your practice is to assume the end: dwell in the feeling that you exist now as Christ in you, nourished, safe, and guided by grace.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit quietly, breathe, and in your imagination re-baptize yourself into the Rock; feel you are sustained by spiritual meat and drink, then affirm 'I am the Rock; I am Christ in me now' and carry that state into your day.
