One Bread, One Body Within
1 Corinthians 10:16-17 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 10 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul presents the cup and bread as symbols of shared life in Christ. Though many, believers partake of one loaf and become one body.
Neville's Inner Vision
In the vault of your consciousness, every drama you call life is a translation of inner states. The cup and bread do not belong to an external rite; they are inner symbols of the life you are now inhabiting. The 'blood of Christ' in this reading is the vital life force that runs through your awareness; the 'body of Christ' is the expression of that life in form. When Paul says we are one loaf though many, he is naming your shared assumption: you are already the one consciousness that presides over all appearances. To the I AM within you, separation is a dream. To practice, awaken in the imagination the vision of many beings sharing one loaf, one life, one heart. Feel the breath of unity as a present reality; imagine every face as a reflection of your own illuminated state. Each eater of the loaf is not other; they are the same living idea appearing in different forms. When you dwell in that sense of oneness, your inner sense of division dissolves, and you stand free within the singular life that you are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and imagine you are the cup and the bread, the entire meal. Say to yourself, I am one with God and all beings, partakers of one loaf.
