Fleeing Idolatry Within

1 Corinthians 10:14 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 10 in context

Scripture Focus

14Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:14

Biblical Context

Paul calls the beloved to flee idolatry. He urges turning from false worship and redirecting devotion toward the true source of life.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this inner reading of Paul, idolatry is not merely temples or statues, but any belief that a person, thing, or position has power over your life apart from your consciousness. You are the I AM, the unconditioned awareness that animates every image you entertain. When you seek wealth, status, or approval as life itself, you erect idols in the mind, and their 'gods' govern your feelings. The command to flee becomes a summons to revise those thoughts until they lose their charge. You do not defeat the idol with force; you reimagine yourself as the creator of reality, allowing the idol to dissolve into light within your consciousness. By aligning with the eternal self, attachment loosens and obedience and faithfulness arise as natural expressions of your true nature.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the I AM presence; declare 'I AM the one who creates all images, I flee from any idol.' Then imagine the idol dissolving into light and leaving your inner space.
