Inner Cross, Inner Power
1 Corinthians 1:23-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Paul states that Christ crucified is a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Greeks. Yet to the called, Christ is the power and wisdom of God.
Neville's Inner Vision
To hear this is to shift your entire inner weather. The cross Christ speaks of is not a wooden instrument out there but the inner death of old habit and the decisive moment your I AM asserts itself. The Jews' stumbling and the Greeks' foolishness dissolve once you understand that God is your own awareness, the I AM that you name Christ. The called awaken to a single reality: Christ is the power of God, and Christ is the wisdom of God operating in you now. In this light, the world's claims about success and failure lose their grip. The power appears as inspired action, the wisdom as quiet discernment, both arising from the same inner source. Your imagination no longer serves as play but as law: what you assume, you become. Therefore, preach to your own heart: I am Christ in me, the life and breath of God, here and now. When you dwell in that state, you find that every situation bends to the will of this inner truth.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Spend five minutes this moment assuming the state 'Christ in me is the power and wisdom of God now,' and revise a blocking thought by seeing it replaced with this inner reality.
