Inner Wisdom Over Worldly Wisdom

1 Corinthians 1:21-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Corinthians 1 in context

Scripture Focus

21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
22For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
23But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
24But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Corinthians 1:21-25

Biblical Context

Paul notes that worldly wisdom fails to know God, and God saves through the apparent foolishness of preaching; true power is found in those called by God.

Neville's Inner Vision

Take the scriptural twofold: the world, with its signs and sermons of wisdom, cannot awaken to God; yet God chooses what men call foolish to reveal power. In this moment, realize that the 'wisdom of God' and the 'power of God' are not distant doctrines but your inner I AM—the awareness that feels and believes. The crucified Christ becomes your inner invitation to revision: when you cling to outward proof, you chase signs; when you quietly affirm, 'I am the power and wisdom of God within,' you are answering the call. The 'weakness' you feel is merely the surface of your mind; beneath it, a stronger reality waits. The shift is not in seeking signs but in awakening to the felt truth—the God who saves is your own awareness. When you rest there, the world’s judgments loosen, and what seemed ‘foolish’ becomes the very genius of your being, available to you now through inner faith.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and repeat, 'I am the power and wisdom of God within me now.' Feel the truth as a present reality, revise any doubt, and imagine yourself acting from that inner conviction.
