Inner Sanctification in Corinth
1 Corinthians 1:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Corinthians 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse identifies the church of God at Corinth as sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, and connected to all who call on Jesus’ name.
Neville's Inner Vision
Beloved, you are not seeking to become something you are not. The church at Corinth represents a state of awareness: those sanctified in Christ Jesus are already set apart in the I AM that you are. To be called to be saints is to respond from the consciousness that you are, here and now, a perfected presence. The phrase 'with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord' points to the universal field in which every mind, in every place, calls upon the name of the Lord—your own I AM, your own awareness. When you turn inward and acknowledge the singular Lordship within, you align with the same sanctified pattern that runs through all who call upon the name. The wall of separation dissolves into unity, not by changing others, but by elevating your own inner state to the consciousness of sainthood. In this tone of being, you become a beacon of the inner church, and your life naturally reflects holiness and harmony among all who share the same calling.
Practice This Now
Assume the state: 'I am sanctified in Christ Jesus,' and feel the unity of all who call upon the name; dwell in that I AM until it becomes your automatic mood.
