Biblical Context

This is a genealogical note naming the father of Gibeon and his eight sons: Abdon, Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab, Gedor, Ahio, and Zacher.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the list as a map of your inner states. The 'father of Gibeon' is the center of awareness from which every inner movement arises. Maachah, the wife named, signals the harmony of your masculine and feminine principles within the mind. The sons—Abdon, Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab, Gedor, Ahio, and Zacher—represent eight facets of consciousness you entertain: memory, initiative, order, energy, devotion, and zeal, all moving under one source. These are not individuals in a distant land but movements of your own mind, each echoing the unity of being. When you entertain them in imagination, you acknowledge that they spring from the same I AM and that God’s presence dwells in the inner house. The act of recognizing this lineage as within you dissolves separation; the family line becomes a single field of consciousness in which unity and peace reside. By holding this view, you revise your sense of self from scattered parts to a harmonious totality, allowing the divine Presence to guide every inner movement.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume that you are the father of your inner Gibeon. Silently name the eight inner sons as expressions of your present consciousness, and feel the I AM unifying them as God within you.
