1 Chronicles 8:12-13

Biblical Context

The verses name Elpaal's sons who built Ono and Lod, and Beriah and Shema as heads of the inhabitants of Aijalon who drove away Gath.

Neville's Inner Vision

These lines are not about geography but about inner geography of your mind. Ono and Lod are inner cities you build with your attention, decisions, and feeling. The names Beriah and Shema standing as heads of the inhabitants symbolize the ruling states of your consciousness. The builders show you setting up centers of peace, order, and creative activity within. Driving away the inhabitants of Gath means sweeping away lingering fears, doubts, and external identifications that have held power over you. You are the one who chooses which states of consciousness dwell in your inner country. By choosing to lead, you enact governance of a new inner community and the old fear leaves. This is not conquest of others, but the alchemy of belief: you shift the inner scene, place leaders in your heart, and witness the terrain changing as a natural expression of your inward alignment with God, the I AM, your own awareness.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and revise your inner map. See Ono and Lod rising as calm centers within you; feel Beriah and Shema governing your thoughts and actions, and sense the old Gath retreating as you inhabit a new life.
