The line, 'the war was of God,' says your God-self—your I AM—authorizes the conflict as a necessary act of inner purification. The slain are not casualties of external fate but the beliefs you have outgrown: fear, lack, limitation, the sense of separation. To dwell in their steads is to cling to familiar patterns until the moment your awareness makes a turn; captivity is the natural consequence of clinging to the old self. But the truth remains: God within you is the power that rewrites the scene. When you acknowledge that the battle is divine and align with the I AM, the inner resistance dissolves. The outer field shifts to reflect the new state you have consciously assumed. Imagination is your minister, and you are the ruler of this inner kingdom. By gently revising, you create the state that matches your prayer, and the life follows fitfully with ease, not as punishment but as triumph of consciousness.
