Jabez prays for blessing, enlargement, and protection. God grants his request.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, this verse is not a request for favors from an external deity, but a turning of awareness toward its own source. Jabez calls on the God of Israel—the I AM that you are—until blessing is felt as your natural state. Bless me indeed becomes: I am blessed in the fullness of my being. Enlarge my coast is the expansion of your inner boundaries—your thoughts, your capacity, your creative field—through a saturated state of consciousness. Let thine hand be with me is the felt presence of divine guidance as inner support, a steady nearness that directs you away from fear and misstep. Keep me from evil dissolves anxiety and distortion, aligning you with good and with the unity that cannot be harmed. And God granted him that which he requested shows the law in operation: when you persist in the assumption of your fulfilled state, the outer scene rearranges to reflect it. This is the simple truth Neville teaches: the entire drama is a waking dream of consciousness, and the blessing you seek is the blessing you already are.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and in your imagination, feel a widening boundary around you as the hand of God remains with you. Then declare softly, 'I am blessed, I am expanded, I am kept safe now.'
