Inner Lineage of David
1 Chronicles 3:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse names David's sons and Tamar as sister, noting there are other children from concubines alongside the main line.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the inner reader, the list is not genealogical but experiential. The 'sons of David' are the diverse states of consciousness that arise when your I AM—the living awareness that you are—rules in peace. David represents the central, organized mind casting order over impulse, memory, imagination, and purpose. The phrase 'beside the sons of the concubines' points to other strains of self that have grown apart from the clean line of intention, perhaps shadow aspects or restless appetites, yet they remain within the field of your awareness, not outside it. Tamar, their sister, signals balance, receptivity, and the unification of energies; she keeps the line from decaying into mere power and propels it toward harmony. The whole verse, then, is a map of inner unity: many sons, one throne, one king—your consciousness. When you accept that all those inner sons are aspects of the same I AM, the kingdom of God becomes a present, orderly act of awareness, not a distant prophecy.
Practice This Now
Assume the inner family is complete and harmonious under the I AM; feel-it-real the kingdom of God already established within your awareness.
