Biblical Context

The verses list David's sons born in Jerusalem, presenting a lineage of his inner succession.

Neville's Inner Vision

These verses are not a mere genealogical record but the anatomy of your inner kingdom. Jerusalem is the field of your awareness, where the I AM dwells. The names—Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, and the others—represent living movements of consciousness that awaken when you stand as king in mind. Each name points to a faculty: vigilance and listening, the birth of intention, the gift of naming truth, and royal wisdom. The repeated Elishama, Eliphelet, Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, Eliada, and Eliphelet again signal recurring acts of creative newborns within your psyche. Bathshua, the daughter of Ammiel, becomes the beloved partner of imagination—by this union these inner sons come forth. As you occupy the throne of your mind, these sons arise in your Jerusalem, bringing order, harmony, and authority. The passage invites you to see that what you once lacked is merely a state of consciousness you now choose to inhabit, by the I AM presence that animates all.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, declare I AM the king of Jerusalem, and for five minutes name each inner state as it arises, feeling the I AM awareness animating them.
