Within this verse the six are not distant names but interior figures of your being. Shemaiah stands as the moment of attentive awareness, and his sons—Hattush, Igeal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat—are the voices of memory, imagination, discernment, desire, and action within your consciousness. When you acknowledge them as your own, you begin to govern an inner family rather than be ruled by scattered thoughts. The truer interpretation is that your I AM, your awareness, is the father of a unified kingdom; by naming and inviting harmony among these states, you reinforce the presence of God as felt reality. The external world then reflects a settled, peaceful order rather than division; your daily life aligns toward unity because you have chosen to dwell in the consciousness that holds and animates all six. In this light, the verse becomes a practice—recognize the six within, thank them, and return your attention to the I AM.
