Inner Covenant of Solomon

1 Chronicles 28:9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Chronicles 28 in context

Scripture Focus

9And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
1 Chronicles 28:9

Biblical Context

The verse calls you to know the God within, serving with a pure heart and willing mind, for God surveys inner thoughts; seek Him and He will be found, otherwise the inner bond is broken.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you stands the God of your Father—your own I AM. When you know Him and serve with a heart that is true and a mind that is willing, you invite the inner ruler to govern your days. The LORD, meaning your own consciousness, searches all hearts and understands the imaginations of the thoughts; not to condemn, but to show you what you have impressed upon your life by assumption. Therefore, seek Him in your inner being and you will find Him; entertain the feeling that He is already present, and the sense of separation dissolves. If you forsake Him by neglect, you cast yourself out of the inner kingdom; but if you persist in your assumption, you awaken to the reality that your outer world follows your inner state. So, revise any lack or doubt, and dwell in the awareness that you are one with the God within, the I AM that cannot fail.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your chest, and say, 'I am within; I am one with the God of my Father; my heart is perfect, my mind willing.' Then imagine a radiant presence filling your chest and declare your assumption until it feels real.
