Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
David’s charge to Solomon calls for courage and trust, anchored in God’s steadfast presence, to complete a sacred task. The passage promises God’s enduring companionship until the work is finished.
Neville's Inner Vision
David’s words to Solomon become the inner decree you make to your own consciousness. Be strong and of good courage—this is your decision to identify with the I AM, the Presence that never wavers. Fear not, nor be dismayed—for the LORD God, even your God, is with you, and will not fail you nor forsake you until you have finished the inner work of your temple. The courses of the priests and the Levites symbolize your disciplined faculties—mind, hands, and memory—slated to serve at your command. There shall be with you in all manner of workmanship every willing, skillful man; likewise the princes and all the people you consult are the harmonious states of desire, imagination, and action that obey your leading. This is not striving against doubt but becoming the state of fullness where others move at your inward word. You finish the work as consciousness expands; you stand finished in the vision you hold.
Practice This Now
Imaginative_act: Close your eyes and assume the feeling of the I AM with you as you begin the inner work. Speak quietly, 'I am strong and courageous; God is with me; I finish this temple within me now' and imagine the priests/Levitical faculties marching in support.
