Be Strong: Divine Presence Now

1 Chronicles 28:20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Chronicles 28 in context

Scripture Focus

20And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.
1 Chronicles 28:20

Biblical Context

David commands Solomon to be strong and courageous and to proceed without fear, for God will be with him until the temple work is finished.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this line lies a map of the inner life. David does not command action from exterior effort alone; he invites a state of consciousness. Be strong and of good courage is a command to dwell in conviction, not in fear, and to act from a lifted sense of self. The fear not and be not dismayed are not admonitions to suppress feeling but a call to align feeling with the truth that the I AM within you accompanies every step. When the text says the LORD God will be with thee, reinterpret it as the I AM presence within your own awareness, the steady, unyielding witness that never leaves you as you move toward your life work. The promise that He will not fail thee nor forsake thee is the assurance that your inner state when steadfast will redraw circumstance to favor your course, until the work is finished. This is not a future hoping; it is a present assumption that binds your acts to divine continuous support, until you have realized your goal in consciousness first.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and envision yourself as Solomon under the blessing of a clear inner David; then declare softly, I am strong and courageous, the I AM is with me, and I will finish this work.
