1 Chronicles 28:10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Chronicles 28 in context

Scripture Focus

10Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build an house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.
1 Chronicles 28:10

Biblical Context

The verse conveys a divine commission: you are chosen to build a sanctuary within; you must muster strength and take action to fulfill this inner vocation.

Neville's Inner Vision

Take heed now is a summons to the inner state you inhabit. In Neville’s voice, the LORD’s choosing to build a sanctuary points to your creative power residing in your I AM. You are the chooser and the builder of your consciousness, not waiting for permission from without. To be strong is to stand in the assured feeling that the sanctuary exists within you and that you possess the authority to shape it. Do it is a directive to act from that inner conviction, to revise and imagine until the feeling of the completed temple saturates your being. The sanctuary is an inner temple formed by deliberate imaginal acts; every plan, every disciplined thought, is a brick laid in that temple. As you persist in this construction, the outer world begins to reflect the form you have imagined. Your mission becomes a witness: a life conformed to the temple you consciously create in mind and deed, a testament to the I AM that stands behind all you do.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are the chosen builder; picture laying a solid foundation and erecting the sanctuary within. Then take one concrete step in the present moment from that assumption (write a plan, declare I AM, or begin a small constructive action).
