Inner Stewards of Abundance
1 Chronicles 27:27-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Chronicles 27 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The passage names four overseers of life resources—vineyards, wine cellars, olive trees, and oil cellars—highlighting a structured inner administration. This shows that wealth and provision arise from an orderly consciousness.
Neville's Inner Vision
In you, the kingdom of supply is organized by inner states. Shimei over the vineyards is your imagination in charge of the seeds of desire; Zabdi over the increase of the vineyards for the wine cellars guards the expansion of your dreams into usable form; Baalhanan over the olive trees and the low plains of sycamore trees guards the steadiness of your daily vitality; Joash over the cellars of oil guards your store of energy and memory ready to be drawn upon. These are not external figures but faculties within your own consciousness named and appointed. The verse does not describe others doing your work; it reveals that your present prosperity is the fruit of inner alignment. To reinterpret, assume you are the one who sets these offices in order; tell yourself that your inner state is already abundant; feel the reality of it; revise any sense of shortage; let your life respond as the offices harmonize and provide.
Practice This Now
Assume the role of the steward over your inner vineyards now; declare I AM abundance and feel it as real, as you watch Shimei, Zabdi, Baalhanan and Joash move in your consciousness to nourish the life you desire. Keep this feeling as you go about your day, revising any lack until your inner offices reflect your outward riches.
