Inner Lot, Inner Way
1 Chronicles 26:14-16 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verses allocate the temple's posts east, north, south, and west to families and gate ward assignments, establishing order within the community's service.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within you, the East, North, South and West of the temple are states of consciousness, not distant places. The casting of lots is your act of aligning your awareness with a fixed order of Being. Shelemiah, Zechariah, Obededom, Shuppim and Hosah are inner counsellors and gate-keepers, images of faculties you steward: discernment, wisdom, nourishment, and protection. When you hear that the lot fell eastward or westward, you are being shown how to direct attention to a particular function of mind. The eastward gift to Shelemiah invites you to begin with a fresh intention; the northward counsellor Zechariah invites wise counsel in decision; Obededom southward invites vitality in community and service; the westward ward and gate Shallecheth invite guard and posture as you ascend the causeway of thought. The important thing is not the historical cast, but your present willingness to assign your inner landscape to purposeful directions. As you assume this, you are not changing facts, you are awakening to your I AM sovereignty, ordering your inner temple toward unity, justice, and true worship.
Practice This Now
Imaginatively assign your inner faculties to the four cardinal posts today. Close your eyes and feel the act of appointing them as loyal stewards, then declare, I am the I AM, I arrange my inner temple now.
