The names Obededom and the house of Asuppim symbolize the forming of receptivity and order, so worship becomes the living presence rather than ritual noise. The ward against ward imagery the guarding of attention—disciplining one instinct so another can serve. The whole scene teaches that order in life flows from an inward decision: you, the I AM, cast the lot and assign the gate—thereby shaping your environment to match your inner state.
