Biblical Context

The passage lists the first through the sixteenth priestly lots in order, illustrating an orderly division of sacred duties.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the list in Chronicles as more than names; it is the map of your inner states. Your I AM, the awareness or God within, assigns a lot to be lived today. The first lot arises as a leading impulse, the second as a subtle shift, and so on, until the sixteenth, each a disposition you can maintain or revise. In your imagination you may reorder them, yet the truth is that you are always the one choosing which state you inhabit. The outer ceremony mirrors the inner divisions of consciousness: holiness, separation, true worship, purity, integrity, work, vocation. By dwelling in a chosen state—feeling it real as if it already were true—you render the day into that service. You do not beg for change; you become the state that fulfills it. When you recognize the inner 'lot' as your own creation, you release old limits and step into present action. Imagination creates reality; the inner order writes the outer world.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and select an inner state aligned with your aim; declare, 'I am now this state,' and let the day unfold from that unwavering assurance.
