Scripture Focus

26And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering.
27And the LORD commanded the angel; and he put up his sword again into the sheath thereof.
1 Chronicles 21:26-27

Biblical Context

David builds an altar, offers burnt and peace offerings, calls on the LORD, and receives a heavenly fire as acceptance. The LORD then commands the angel to sheath his sword.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this passage the altar is the inner focal point of your consciousness, the I AM where you place your deepest offerings. When David calls upon the LORD, you are turning your attention to the divine presence within you. The fire that falls on the altar represents the felt realization that your assumption has been acknowledged by your higher self; it is the inner confirmation that your belief is alive and operative. The angel with the drawn sword stands for the old conditions and fears that threaten your current image; mercy sheathes the sword when your inner state aligns with the divine pattern. There is no separation between petition and answer; the fire is the sign that your inner state has shifted and is now expressing itself through your circumstances. Thus, true worship is the conscious alignment of desire with I AM awareness, producing outward events that reflect a reconciled, merciful being.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already standing before the inner altar, feeling the fire of acceptance. Hold that focal point in awareness and let gratitude and certainty radiate from the I AM until your experience confirms the inner shift.
