Neville's Inner Vision
Whenever I read 1 Chronicles 18:9-13, I see the outer history as the theater of inner states. Tou king of Hamath represents a companion within my mind, a recognition that I have moved from fear to victory. David, the higher self I am awakening, defeats the host of Hadarezer in the sense that my resolve and imagination prevail over former limitations. The vessels of gold, silver, and brass I gather are the wealth of ideas, insights, and inspirations received from many aspects of myself Edom Moab Ammon Philistines Amalek, representing beliefs I have integrated and transformed. Dedicating them to the LORD means I devote every thought and resource to the divine I AM, converting abundance into true worship. Abishai slaying eighteen thousand Edomites in the valley of salt is the clearing of stale judgments; the garrisons in Edom are new mental dominions I claim as mine under divine protection. Thus the LORD preserves David whithersoever I go; my awareness remains intact, guiding every step of my life. This is the inner law: as I acknowledge and align, the world follows suit.
Practice This Now
Assume the state I am kept and prospered by divine providence wherever I go. Feel this as real and imagine wealth and worship flowing to and through my inner temple.
