Inner Establishment of God

1 Chronicles 17:22-24 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read 1 Chronicles 17 in context

Scripture Focus

22For thy people Israel didst thou make thine own people for ever; and thou, LORD, becamest their God.
23Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
24Let it even be established, that thy name may be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel: and let the house of David thy servant be established before thee.
1 Chronicles 17:22-24

Biblical Context

The passage asks God to permanently establish His covenant with David's house and to magnify His name among Israel.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within this text, the people Israel represent your inner states of consciousness; the Lord of hosts is the commanding I AM that dwells in you. When you declare that what God spoke should be established, you are not petitioning an external force but choosing a state of consciousness and standing in it until it becomes your life. The house of David becomes the orderly, governed inner imagination—your personal kingdom under one sovereign presence. To magnify the name of God is to fix your attention on the truth that I AM is the God of your life, here and now. This is covenant loyalty: remain steadfast in the assumption that your inner kingdom is established, and the outward world will reflect that inner alignment. The presence of God then walks before you as a realized reality, not a distant promise. You awaken to the fact that the ruling king within is your awareness, and the kingdom comes forth from within you.

Practice This Now

Sit in quiet, close your eyes, and assume the feeling, 'The LORD of hosts is my God,' until it is experienced as true now; then rest in that established state for a few moments.
