The verses urge gratitude, calling on the Lord, and proclaiming His deeds; they also invite singing and rejoicing for those who seek the Lord.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the I AM that you are, this text speaks of a state you can inhabit here and now. Giving thanks is not gratitude for a distant event but an inner acknowledgement of your own divine presence. Calling upon the Lord becomes turning your attention to the eternal within, a door of awareness that you may open and step through. Making known His deeds among the people is the bold act of living your inner transformations as if they were already real, so that your outer world mirrors your inner alignment. Singing psalms unto Him is the vibration of your breath and speech rising into harmony with your true nature; talking of wondrous works is the steady narration of consciousness in which you rehearse the miracles you intend to reveal. Glory in His holy name means you praise the sacred I AM that dwells in you, and the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoices because the seeking is now a joyful awareness rather than a struggle. The whole passage is a commission to become fully conscious of your creative power, and to use praise as the instrument that draws it forth.
Practice This Now
Assume that the Lord is already within you as I AM. Spend a minute giving thanks, calling on that name, and speaking your desired deeds as if they are already done; then feel the joy in your heart and let that feeling radiate outward.
