Imagine the scene not as a history of a people, but as a portrait of your inner self. When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it — this is your nascent consciousness, a small, new self learning to dwell within. And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people — these are the shifting moods of mind as you expand your inner territory. The text says He suffered no man to do them wrong — inner protection follows alignment with the I AM, your true awareness; He reproved kings for their sakes — the false authorities of fear and habit that would rule your thoughts. Saying, 'Touch not mine anointed', and do my prophets no harm — the inner boundary around the living image of God within you; the 'anointed' is your I AM, the seed of awakening, and 'my prophets' are your inner calls, insights, and promptings. When you guard them, you teach your outer world to respect your inner crown. Your inner king and prophet prosper as you abide in that consciousness, unseen yet sovereign.
