11And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
1 Chronicles 15:11-12

Biblical Context

David calls the priests and Levites to sanctify themselves so they may bring up the ark of the LORD to the place prepared.

Neville's Inner Vision

Here the ark stands not merely as a relic of ancient days, but as the living Presence within your own consciousness. David’s summons of Zadok and Abiathar, and the tribe of Levites, is your inner council—the faculties that govern your attention and will. When he says, sanctify yourselves, he points you to the cleansing of thought, motive, and feeling until they resound as one with the I AM you truly are. The line you may think is about a page in an ancient scroll becomes a command to purify the atmosphere of your mind so the Presence can descend and be seen in daily life. The place prepared for it is the inner temple you maintain by consistent assumption—an atmosphere where faith, patience, and reverence meet. To bring up the ark is to allow the divine Presence to move from that temple into your outward conduct, your choices, and your outcomes. It is not a history lesson but an instruction in inner alignment: sanctify, believe, and you and the Presence go forth together.

Practice This Now

Assume the sanctified state now and feel the Presence enter your inner temple. Say quietly I AM here, I am clean, and act from that feeling as if the ark has already been carried to the place prepared.
