Read 1 Chronicles 13 in context

Scripture Focus

12And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?
13So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.
14And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.
1 Chronicles 13:12-14

Biblical Context

David fears the Lord and wonders how to bring the ark home. He does not bring the ark to his city but leaves it with Obededom, where it remains for three months and blesses all that he has.

Neville's Inner Vision

David senses a reverent awe and asks how to bring the ark home into his life. The ark stands not as a trophy for ego but as the living Presence within consciousness, and its resting in Obededom's house becomes the space where the sacred is honored rather than owned. In Neville style, the ark is your I Am presence and the fear is the friction that keeps you from allowing it to govern your world. When the Presence rests outside your own immediate sense of possession, blessing flows into the whole household because you are learning to be receptive rather than controlling. The three months symbolize a period of inner alignment where you cease to push the divine into your plans and instead let the I Am govern. As you affirm that the Lord is your consciousness and you live from that assurance, blessing manifests in life through grace, guidance, and order. The lesson is that sacredness thrives in a receptive space and your job is to remain still, centered, and open to the Presence.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Sit quietly and revise the inner scene by assuming the ark already rests in your house. Feel blessing flow through every room as you affirm I am the I Am and this Presence blesses all you have.
