Inner Kingdom: Cush to Nimrod
1 Chronicles 1:9-10 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read 1 Chronicles 1 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Cush’s line lists several sons, and Nimrod is described as the mighty one on the earth.
Neville's Inner Vision
Viewed inwardly, Cush represents a lineage of identity—the root memory from which you imagine yourself to be substantial in the world. Nimrod, the mighty hunter, is not merely a person in time, but a current of consciousness that declares power over forms. When you hear 'mighty upon the earth,' you are being shown how an assumption of strength arises in your awareness and then translates to outward events. The Kingship and Authority theme invites you to watch for pride and self-exaltation, for they tempt you to rule life by personal force rather than by the I AM. Yet the Kingdom of God is not out there; it lives in your awakened state of awareness. When you align with the I AM—your true, indivisible awareness—you reinterpret what it means to be mighty: not by conquest of others, but by the order and abundance you experience within. In this light, Nimrod’s rise can become a signal to refine your inner definitions and to let love govern power rather than fear or ego.
Practice This Now
Imagination Act: Assume the state now: I AM the sovereign power within; feel it real. Close your eyes, breathe, and declare, 'I AM the ruler of my inner kingdom.' Visualize Nimrod’s bold energy now redirected by the I AM, bringing peace, order, and aligned action into your life.
