Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse lists Edom's early king Bela, son of Beor, and his city Dinhabah, establishing a governance image before Israel's kings.
Neville's Inner Vision
In you the land of Edom is your present state of consciousness, and Bela—the first king you imagine there—embodies the initial ruling idea you entertain before your higher self proper reigns. Bela, son of Beor, stands for a persistent command you assert in the theatre of the mind; Dinhabah is the inner citadel you designate as the seat of power. Before the children of Israel—the embodied, higher-law life within you—are governed, this early rule exists as awareness seeking alignment. Neville teaches that you can revise this scene by identifying the inner king as the I AM and recognizing that Dinhabah is the reigning center of consciousness. When you assume Bela’s throne from this citadel, you become cause rather than effect, and your outer life will follow the decree of your inner king. Your Edom becomes the seedbed of the true Kingdom within, where the higher nature will eventually reign as you persist in the feeling of its rulership.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and, with feeling, declare that you reign now from the inner city of Dinhabah; allow the I AM within you to govern, and notice your outer world aligning to this inner decree.
