In this lecture Neville Goddard explores the concept that true spiritual growth arises not from tradition but from personal experience, identifying human imagination as the very essence of God. Drawing on William Blake and Biblical texts, he argues that the Scriptures address the reality of man—Jesus Christ—which he equates with the human imagination. God is neither far off nor near, but is the 'I AM' within each individual, responsible for the creation and unfolding of all phenomena. To test this truth, Goddard prescribes the Law of Assumption: boldly assume the state you desire and live from that assumption, compelling the world (symbolized by David or humanity) to fulfill your will. He illustrates how this principle can be applied to everyday goals, from financial success to personal transformation, by controlling one’s mental imagery. Ultimately, he promises that when all parts of consciousness (all 'sons') reunite, one will awaken to the glory of having created the universe with one’s own imagination.
