Neville Goddard begins by quoting Blake to show that God dwells within each individual as human Imagination. He reinterprets biblical passages from Philippians and John to explain incarnation as God emptying Himself to become man and live under human limitations. Goddard stresses our pre-existence before birth and the amnesia we must overcome to remember our divine nature. He illustrates the power of imagination to manifest realities through the example of a woman who visualized herself in Norway and made it come true. Finally, he uses symbolic imagery of a monstrous ape and an angelic being to describe how we create both our flaws and virtues, and outlines the path to redeem and integrate them into the universal Christ consciousness.
