In this lecture Neville Goddard reinterprets the biblical prophecies of Matthew 24 and Mark 13 as an inner, psychological process rather than external events. He describes the wars, famines, earthquakes and false Christs as ‘birth pains’ preluding the birth of the Son of Man within each individual. The Mount of Olives prophecy is presented as the splitting of consciousness from top to bottom, lighting up the entire inner landscape like lightning. God’s Word is sown as a seed in the human mind, dies in ‘amnesia,’ and then is resurrected in a personal spiritual awakening. Goddard outlines sequential stages: resurrection and birth, discovery of divine Fatherhood, inner splitting and ascent of divine light, descent of the dove, and finally clothing in an immortal body. He warns against looking for external leaders or signs, urges testing inner voices against scripture, and emphasizes that the ‘end’ is the individual’s fulfillment of God’s promise and entrance into a new eternal state.
