Neville Goddard presents the earliest Christian creed as a dramatic enactment of divine descent into death and ascent into eternal life. He employs the story of Job as an archetype for human suffering, divine testing, and ultimate restoration under the ‘I AM’ presence. Goddard recounts personal mystical experiences likened to an ocean and wave to illustrate the unity of the Dreamer and the waking self. He argues that life is a play orchestrated by the human imagination—our protean God—that tests faith through deception, betrayal, and doubt. True transformation, he insists, arises from revealed truth within consciousness, not external rituals or ceremonies. The journey culminates in the reunion of the sent and the Sender—Father and Son—personified by David, signifying the believer’s ascent into eternal oneness and the end of the cosmic drama.
