In this lecture Neville Goddard explores the concept of Advent not as a historical event but as the internal unfolding of Christ in the individual. He describes Advent as a four-stage process symbolized by the tearing of a seamless garment into four parts, each revealing deeper levels of spiritual awakening. Drawing on biblical passages and Blake’s poetry, Goddard illustrates his own mystical experience of awakening within the ‘tomb’ of his skull after 6,000 years of ‘sleep.’ He emphasizes that true rebirth is the resurrection of Jesus Christ from within, and that every person must undergo this inner drama. Through imagination and faith one can cushion life’s trials and even modify the unfolding of the cosmic play. Ultimately, the final tear unveils the immortal “human form divine,” a body of infinite love and direct union with God.
