In “A Prophecy,” Neville Goddard interprets William Blake’s poem “Europe” as an allegory for how imagination manifests reality. He explains that Enitharmon, Blake’s feminine emanation of desire, represents the shadow or image we must enter and enliven with faith. God likewise fell in love with His own image, entered it, and through divine imagination awoke as man—an analogy Neville uses to illustrate how we can fulfill our own desires. By visualizing a completed scene and remaining within it with feeling, we create a pattern that reality must follow. He emphasizes that every human birth from woman is mirrored by a spiritual birth from above, culminating in an awakening akin to Christmas. Ultimately, Neville teaches that persistence in the imagined scene leads to inner transformation and the external realization of our desires.
